Hmm..this does bring back memories. I lived in the Caribbean with my parents many years ago for quite some time. During that time there was an outbreak of Dengue fever on the island. Terrible times. My father was taken down by it and we weren't sure if he would survive he was so very ill. They don't call it the 'break back' fever for nothing! Doctors really couldn't do much and we tried desperately to keep him hydrated and comfortable. Finally a local village lady brought him a 'herbal' old timers concoction (very questionable ingredients) which she spoon fed him for a couple days until the fever broke. Though we were all so very grateful for his recovery, Dad said the mixture was quite vile. :) Took him a few weeks to make a full recovery.

Thanks Michael!

It’s no joke that’s for sure, glad he made it through. I would have been happy for any concoction. :-)
